Coordinator, Public / Artist Relations
Location: USA
Responsibilities:
The MUSIC Group is seeking a key addition to our Seattle-based marketing communications team in the combined role of Public Relations and Artist Relations. As the go-to person for the press, the PR coordinator serves as the face and voice of the MUSIC Group and our world-class audio and music brands. In the AR role, they will interface directly with world-renowned artists, power users and trend-setters as they endorse our brands and use our products.
This is a fast-paced role where things can and often do, change rapidly. From new product introductions to trade shows, special in-field events, contests and our massive social media family, there is never a shortage of material for press releases, online stories and tweets. Our brands are sold and respected worldwide and we embrace the multitude of languages, ethnicities and cultures of the artists and audio professionals we serve. Our communications strategy is to engage and delight our users with a constant flow of news and information and remain first-to-mind as a resource.
The ideal candidate will thrive on the activity, opportunity and pace of this challenge. You are a communications, music or marketing grad with a class-leading GPA. Your written and spoken communications skills are impeccable and you are both confident and inspiring in front of the press. A maven of modern media, you’ve already set up your circles and neatly organized your vegan friends apart from the carnivores. You never miss a trend, and your circles know it, constantly looking to you for advice.
The MUSIC Group counts among its assets the leading brands BEHRINGER, MIDAS, BUGERA and KLARK TEKNIK. Each brand possesses its own personality and serves a different user base, but they all share something in common; we’re in the music business. Our products power Metallica’s monster tours and they enable an aspiring idol to record their first hit on an iPad. We can be found in recording studios and synagogues, yacht clubs and neighborhood pubs. We enable the artist and the working professional to make, record and play back the best sound you’ve ever heard. It’s our passion.
